Wardrobes - door configuration

As well as choosing from many door designs there are two hinge options. You can have inset or overlaid door hinges.

Inset doors

Inset doors have a more traditional appearance and can accommodate decorative details such are flutes or strap-work on the frame uprights. The hinges are mounted on the inside of the box. They must be installed carefully to maintain door clearances. Hinges give an opening of 110 degrees, but we can supply 180-degree openings as an option (not in Jali Designer yet - call us).

Overlaid doors

Overlaid doors fit on the front of the units, similar to kitchen cabinets. They use less space but limit the decorative details. They overlap the upright by 35mm and the hinges sit in this space, leaving the inside of the box entirely clear of any hinge mechanism. They tolerate door misalignment and have 120 degree opening.
