Wardrobes
Wardrobes - corner units
The Jali Designer creates straight wardrobe runs to go along walls. However, occasionally it is necessary to take the wardrobes around one or more corners (either inside or outside corners). These circumstances can be accommodated with the Jali Designer using the following approach:
Firstly, each straight run, whether one box unit or many, must be treated as a separate wardrobe design in the Jali Designer. In doing this care must be taken to match any corresponding details and sizes - so the base height and overall height in the two designs should be the same. Also, you must consider how the two wardrobes will mate up to each other.
For outside corners this is fairly straightforward: one wardrobe must be back fitting and the other side fitting, and the edges of these two parts must butt up to one another.
For inside corners a particular box configuration is needed which will occupy the boxed-in corner. You can create this by selecting the corner option in Sides under Details 1. When you make this selection you will see the box has a very wide upright. This gives an effective side wall up to which the other wardrobe can side fit. Normally, you would fit hanging rails in this type of box as the clothes can occupy the 'dead' space and yet still be reasonably accessible. This wide upright can be sized to match the depth of the ongoing wardrobe, and includes fixing holes for joining the two runs.
