Pelmet Kits

A pelmet kit is the easiest way to brighten up your windows and to add extra style to your room. Here's all you need to know.

What the kit contains:

• Your choice of pelmet
• A top board and two end pieces, which create the sturdy 'box unit'
• Two quick-release brackets for easy fitting to your wall
• Screws and Rawlplugs

The kit covers any width up to 1800mm (just under 6 feet).

Fitting instructions:

1. Cut the pelmet and top board to the required length
2. Make up the 'box unit' and paint it
3. Fit the quick-release brackets to wall
4. Attach the box unit to the quick-release brackets

What else you'll need:

• Glue or panel pins
• Paint
• Working area or workbench

and if you don't need the entire 1800mm width:

• Wood saw and dust mask
• Sandpaper

What to do now:

Pelmets kits are available in two depths, depending on how far your curtains stick out from the wall into the room.

Measure from the wall to the front of the curtains. The measurement should allow for the fabric 'bunching up' when the curtains are open.
