Company History

Jali was established in 1990 to design, manufacture and market decorative wood products for the home and for the DIY, architectural and display industries. The following pages give a synopsis of how the company has developed in that time and also gives an insight into the hard work and determination that has built Jali so far.

2002

• Jali updates its logo to go along with brand new product ranges, designs and styles, and the latest Jali brochure.

• Development begins on the Jali Designer computer program to design made-to-measure furniture on your home computer.

• Jali is the winner of Best Practice in IT at the Institute of Mechanical Engineers' Manufacturing Excellence Awards and runner up as Overall Best Small to Medium Enterprise.

• Film sets completed for Nicholas Nickleby, Tomb Raider II, BBC's The Lost Prince

• Appearances in every home improvement show on TV!

2001

• Jali spends the year fitting out the new production facility and gearing up for the move into new premises scheduled for early 2002

• Jali successfully completes orders for the blockbuster films Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and The Mummy Returns, and began work on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

• Major work for the John Lewis Partnership:

	Jali completes its largest ever order for the John Lewis Partnership, including Christmas Window Display components for their entire range of stores.
