Awards we've won

Jali has had some success with business awards over the years. Here's a list in reverse order, starting with the most recent:

2003

South-East winner in the E-Business category of the 2003 E-Commerce Awards, sponsored by Cisco Systems, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group and The Sunday Times Enterprise Network.

The E-Business category recognises companies which make exceptional use of the Internet as part of their overall strategy.

2002

IMECHE (Institute of Mechanical Engineers) Manufacturing Excellence Award for Best Practice in IT.

This award is given for the best use of Information Technology irrespective of the size of an organisation. Also in the running were such giants as Land Rover, British Aerospace Systems, and Perkins Diesel.

2000-2001

No awards - too busy building our new factory!

1999

Parcelforce Small Business of the South-East Award, presented to us by Jon Snow.

1998

Kent Businessman of the Year awarded to our Managing Director, Nicholas Showan, for outstanding achievement by an individual.

1997

KM Group Small Business of the Year

Trevor Sturgess presented the KM Group Small Business of the Year Award 1997. We were also runners up in the Kent County Council Business Growth Award.

1996

Kent Business Small Business Award for the best small business in Kent.

1995

We were given the DTI Smart Award which allowed us to develop a new kind of computer-controlled cutting machine for woodworking. We've developed and refined the original idea and have now built several machines which are in use in the factory today!
